Research Interests

My interests are in genetic diversity in host-parasite interactions. These interactions are believed to be a major evolutionary force driving the diversity and divergence of host resistance genes and of parasite infectivity genes. The methods used in my lab include next-generation sequencing, microarray analysis and SNP genotyping to uncover the genes involved in host-parasite coevolution. Systems used range from natural populations of hosts to laboratory models to clinical infections.
